New Year, New Wreck This Journal

It's a brand new year! I thought it was only fitting to start my second wreck this journal that has been just sitting in my shelf for a couple months waiting for me to begin wrecking again.
This time I decided I would make some wreck with me videos as well, so if you'd like to see those, head over to my youtube channel. I'll try to keep updated and do at least 2 videos every month.

My cover! I love collages and wolves, if you can't tell. I did a similar cover on my previous wreck this journal.
There's a tutorial on my youtube channel how I did this.
Basically i printed off some images from tumblr on regular copy paper and stuck them on with some gold washi tape around the edges.

Instructions page! Inspired by Alice in Wonderland

Pour, spill, drip, spit, fling your coffee here page. Also inspired by Alice in Wonderland (can you see a trend?)

Colour this entire page. Inspired by the New york skyline. I used chalk pastels and a black marker pen.

Tie a string to the spine of the book and swing wildy page. Inspired by The Hunger Games.

Hope you're having a great week! x

Wreck This Journal Everywhere!

Well Hi there!
After completing my previous wreck this journal, I figured it was time to get another one, right?
I was tossing up between Kerri Smith's "Wreck this journal everywhere" or "this is not a book" but decided to get this one, slowly working my way through all of Kerri Smith's book series.

What I'm really loving and what I loved in my previous journal is that I'm provided with a tiny bit of inspiration. That's perfect for me, I don't know how many times I've wanted to draw or paint something and i've just sat infront of a blank canvas for an hour trying to decide what I should do.

With this is so much easier, even if it's just a little phrase like "float this page" immediately water,  mermaids and all sorts of things come to my mind. So if you struggle a little with the inspiration side of things, these books are perfect.

The first thing I did to my journal was cover it in washi tapes (glitter was kind of a crucial element here)

I will be posting regular updates on my journal so stay tuned! :)
Hope you're all having a lovely week,  until next time

30 day drawing challenge

The last few months I have been pretty slack with drawing and art, which is something I love doing but when I get stressed, the last thing I want to do is draw.
I don't know about you but I have to be "in the mood" to draw, hence why I haven't drawn in a quiet a while.

Although, after months of not drawing or creating anything, I've felt pretty bad and my creative side was screaming.  So, I have decided to do a 30 day drawing challenge.

I searched for quiet some time on pinterest, tumblr and all other places where one would find such a challenge. I found that on some I only liked a few challenges, some were eh and others I didn't like at all, so I decided to make my own and combine all the challenges I liked.

Tomorrow I start with my "self portrait" and I shall be posting more updates as I go through the challenge.
Let me know if you will also be doing this challenge, I would love to see your results! :)

Elena
